Epiphone-s Acoustic-Electric series is a line of affordable steel-stringed guitars made as the beginner and lower intermediate extension of the upscale Gibson catalog. Among the many models featured in this series, PR-5E is one of the most long-lived models. For over 20 years (it was introduce back in 1990), this model is one of the best selling Epiphone acoustic-electrics. It comes with a single-cut body inspired by the stylish Sheraton and Casino electrics. Mahogany back and sides and spruce sound board comprise the body. Multi-ply binding, fixed rosewood bridge with a concealed pickup, side-mounted preamp and a triple-circle rosette are featured on the body. Select mahogany neck is fit with a 14th fret dovetail joint in the back and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top.
