AJ-500ME is among the top models of the Round Shoulder series in Epiphone`s acoustic department of the catalog. It comes with a dreadnought-shaped body with non-cutaway design. It`s back and side panels are made of mahogany, while the top is made of spruce. This model is available in natural color with high gloss finish. Multi-ply binding is applied around the top. It also features a tortoise shell pickguard and a triple circle rosette. In the bridge section Epiphone installs a belly-shaped bridge made of rosewood. Under-saddle piezo pickup is Nanomag/Nanoflex and the preamp is eSonic. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it is equipped with a D contour. Rosewood fingerboard features 20 frets, dot position inlays, 12" radius and 1-11/16" wide synthetic bone nut.
