St Augustine series is a brand new one. It was introduced by Dean Guitars at this year`s NAMM show. For now, it consists of three models, one acoustic-electric and two fully acoustic models. All three guitars come with dreadnought bodies and have set necks. Bodies of these guitars are full-sized and feature fairly deep contour, which gives a full and loud tone. Also, one of the most prominent features on models of this series is the solid sound board made of spruce. All three models have it set against the laminated mahogany back and sides. St Augustine Solid Top Gloss Natural is one of two completely acoustic models in the series. It comes with a non-cutaway dreadnought body with set in neck joint. Natural with glossy lacquer finish is the only color scheme available for this model. Neck is made of mahogany and it features the series standard C contour in the back. It is rather slim, while also being chunky enough for traditional players of acoustic guitar. On it`s top, there`s a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. Electronics are non-existent on this model. Bridge is the standard one, it`s made of rosewood and it sports white string pins.
