Dean`s Exotica series is reserved for acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars with exotic tone woods. This series excludes spruce, mahogany, rosewood and such, common, types of wood in favor of quilted ash, bubinga, koa and other exotic and exclusive models. Bubinga with Aphex model comes with grand auditorium shaped body with single cutaway construction. Back and side panels on this model are made of bubinga and are paired with a top also made of bubinga. Multi-ply binding and modern rosette decorate the top panel. Bridge is made of rosewood and it sports a standard Dean shape. Electronics on this model include an under-saddle piezo pickup and DMT I2EX preamp. Neck is made of mahogany and it is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. 20 frets are covered with dot inlays.
