AXS Mini is the only short-scale option in the affordable AXS/12 Gauge line. It comes with completely acoustic construction and stripped down design. Mahogany dominates the specs list, as back, sides and top of the body are made of it (laminated mahogany is used for the body). Moreover, the neck is also made of mahogany. To minimize the costs of production, Dean offers this short-scaled acoustic only in natural color with a thin coat of protective gloss finish over the body and neck. Rosewood, as the only tonewood besides mahogany on this model, is found in the bridge and fingerboard sections. Bridge is a compensated one, with a Nubone saddle on its top, while the fingerboard comes with a standard set of 20 frets with simple dot inlays.
