SFX series is Cort`s take on the perennial jumbo shape. It is updated and refreshed for the challenges of the 21st century and named SFX. The series of SFX guitars is made up of seven acoustic and acoustic-electric models. SFX10 is an acoustic-electric model with a single cutaway construction. Back and sides of it`s body are made of quilted maple and the top is made of spruce. Ivoroid and abalone binding encircle the top panel on SFX10. Bridge is made of rosewood and equipped with a belly shape. Fishman Sonicore pickup is paired with Presys Plus preamp, also from Fishman. Neck on this model is made of maple and it sports a V contour. Fingerboard is made of rosewood and it comes with 20 frets covered with dot inlays.

Really nice guitar, built well, nice tone and projection. I have the black one, but it's a deep black, not really transparent on the top. There is one other review with a bad quality rating, not sure why. I've owned this for several years and not had one issue. I own 3 Cort guitars, and love them all. Each is excellent quality, equal to the mid-upper Epiphone guitars that I've played. If you can find a Cort, whether electric or acoustic, give it a try. May make a great addition for gigging or even stage.
