AS-S5 is a single-cut SFX guitar from the AS series of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars made by Cort. This series is concentrated around the best possible tone and in order to achieve the goal, models of this series have been granted premium solid Sitka spruce sound boards. Besides this, S5 has rosewood back and sides. mahogany and maple binding is paired with a discreet rosette on the top. Electronics section on this model includes Fishman Prefix Plus T preamp with Matrix piezo pickup concealed within the belly-shaped rosewood bridge. Hardware installed is plated in nickel and tuners are die-cast. One-piece mahogany neck has a standard "C" contour and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Scale of this model measures 25-3/10" in length.
