Alvarez`s steel-string section of the catalog is made up of three standard series (Regent, Artist, Masterworks) and one boutique series (Alvarez Yairi). The standard series are all made overseas and cover the range from $300 to around $1,300. Yairi models are hand-made in Japan, in late master luthier Kazuo Yairi`s shop (Kani City, Gifu Prefecture). MPA66E is an acoustic-electric parlor guitar from the Masterworks series. It comes with an all-solid body (mahogany back, sides, top), a one-piece mahogany neck (rounded profile, semi-gloss finish, 14th fret dovetail joint), 21-fret rosewood fingerboard (1-3/4" bone nut, 12th fret inlay), gold-plated tuning machines, rosewood bridge (bone saddle, ebony pins, Alvarez contour), and LR Baggs electronics. The MSRP is set at $1,049.
