Kazuo Yairi is the master builder for American Alvarez Guitars company. Even though he is located and works in Japan, his guitars are offered through Alvarez Yairi Masterworks series. These are some of the finest instruments in catalog, hand built and rigorously controlled. DYM500 is a dreadnought-shaped guitar with non-cutaway design and fully acoustic construction. Body of this model is made of rosewood back and sides with spruce sound board on the top. Top panel is equipped with abalone and maple binding, standard-shaped tortoise shell pickguard and double circle rosette. Natural color is the only one available and it comes with high gloss finish. Bridge section is equipped with a standard-shaped bridge made of ebony. Mahogany neck is attached with a 14th fret dovetail joint and topped with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard.
