GS Mini series comes with 2012 Spring Limiteds from Taylor. This line represents Taylor`s high end travel-friendly guitar range. There are three models in this series: GS Mini Blackwood, GS Mini Rosewood and GS Mini Maple. All of these models are fully acoustic and feature no pickups, preamps or mics. Special feature of this year`s Spring Limited models is a scarf joint. It is used to connect the neck and headstock. This type of construction gives more rigidity to the neck because it is not as long as usual. GS Mini Rosewood starts off with a non-cutaway grand symphony shaped body made of laminated rosewood back and sides and a spruce top. The top is bound in black binding and adorned with tortoise shell pickguard and a triple circle rosette. GS Mini Rosewood comes in natural color with varnish finish. The bridge is equipped with belly shape and black string pins. The neck is made of sapele and it is connected to the body with a dovetail joint at the 14th fret. The fingerboard is made of ebony, which is a common trait for 2012 Spring Limited models. 20 frets, dot position inlays, 15" radius and 1-11/16" wide nubone nut wrap the fingerboard specs. The MSRP for this model is set at $748.
