For the Spring 2012 Taylor luthiers have prepared a special version of 300 series, it now comes with Hawaiian koa back and sides. The lineup consists of six models and they will be available in limited numbers only this Spring. 310ce-LTD is a dreadnought model with a Venetian cutaway and a flat top. It`s body is made of Hawaiian koa back and sides and spruce top. Both the back and top are bound in black binding. Top panel also features tortoise shell pickguard and a triple circle rosette. 310ce-LTD comes in natural color with a combination of gloss and satin finish. The bridge on this model features a standard shape for Taylor models. Special feature of this bridge are ebony string pins. In the electronics department Taylor opted for their own Expression System which consists of an under-saddle pickup and a preamp with a side-mounted control panel. The neck is made of tropical mahogany with a dovetail joint. Headstock on this model is a separate part and it is attached to the neck with a scarf joint. Ebony fingerboard is equipped with a set of 20 frets, dot position inlays, 15" radius and 1.75" wide TUSQ nut. 25-1/2" scale and chrome plated Taylor tuners wrap the specs. The MSRP for this model is set at $2,898.
