Martin Guitars have a long tradition of top quality production, and judging by the novelties unveiled at the NAMM 2012 Show, that is to remain for years to come. A firework of exclusive tonewoods, master craftsmanship and sheer beauty was exhibited at the Martin Guitars` booth. Over a dozen of new models, of which majority belongs to a highly acclaimed Performing Artist Series. One of the updates for this series is GPCPA 4, an acoustic-electric grand concert guitar with a cutaway. It has a body made of siris wood back and sides and solid spruce top. Grained ivoroid binding, tortoise shell pickguard and two ring sound hole rosette adorn the top. This model comes in natural color with gloss finish on top and satin on back and sides. The bridge on GPCPA 4 Siris is made of black richlite and features belly shape, white string pins and TUSQ saddle. The electronics section consists of Fishman F1 Analog setup with side-mounted volume and tone control knobs. The neck is made of select hardwood with performing artist profile and mortise & tenon joint at the 14th fret. The fingerboard is made of black richlite and features 20 frets, offset dot position inlays and 1-3/4" wide white corian nut. The MSRP is set at $1,849.
