Martin Guitars` Limited Edition series is updated with five models for 2012, and CS-D28-12 is one of them. When talking about Limited Edition models from one of industry`s leading brands, one can not expect anything less than exclusive materials, top playability and master craftsmanship. CS-D28-12 has all that, plus some extras, and it will only be made in 125 copies for the world-wide distribution. CS-D28-12 kicks off with non-cutaway dreadnought body made of solid cocobolo back and sides and solid Adirondack spruce top. The top is equipped with solid Madagascar rosewood binding and style 28 sound hole rosette. This model comes in natural color with gloss finish on the body and satin on the back of the neck. The bridge is made of ebony, and sports a belly shape, white string pins and fossilized ivory saddle. There are no electronics built onto this model, but optionally, it can be installed. The neck is made of mahogany and features a hand-carved contour with a dovetail joint set at the 14th fret. The fingerboard is made of ebony and has 20 frets, dot position inlays and 1-3/4" fossilized ivory string nut. The MSRP is set at $6,999.
