Fender Sonoran SCE Thinline Review

Fender`s California Series of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars offers affordable and quality instruments. The models are either non-cutaway or cutaway dreadnoughts with electronics and flat tops. Sonoran SCE Thinline is a cutaway dreadnought model with a body made of solid spruce and laminated mahogany back and sides. This flat-top model is available only in natural color with glossy finish. The top is adorned with several layers of biding, checkerboard rosette around the sound hole and cream colored pickguard. The bridge has Fender`s own Viking shape and is made of rosewood. The pins and the saddle are made of bone and the saddle is compensated. The electronics department consists of Fishman Isys III preamp with a chromatic tuner and shoulder-mounted on-board control panel. This thinline model is only three inches deep for more comfortable playing experience and it is combined with a Stratocaster maple neck with C contour and headstock. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and features 20 frets with dot position inlays. Bone nut is 1.625" wide and the scale measures at 25-1/3". the fingerboard is bound in white to match the body binding. The MSRP for Sonoran SCE Thinline is set at $499.99.
