As a subsidiary brand of Gibson Guitars, Epiphone produces the budget friendly variants of the models from Gibson catalog. So is the case with the Hummingbird. It is a square-shouldered, dreadnought shaped acoustic guitar. The body is made of solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Heritage cherry burst, ebony and natural color options are accompanied by creme binding, double ring rosette, hummingbird pickguard and glossy finish. The bridge is made of rosewood and has a belly shape. Neck on the Epiphone hummingbird is made of mahogany with a slim taper contour and dovetail joint. Rosewood fingerboard features 20 frets with mother of pearl split parallelogram inlays. The scale is 25-1/2" long and the nut measures 1.68" in width. This model features nickel plated tuners and hardware. Epiphone Hummingbird costs around $300.
