AVNB1E and AVNB1FE are Ibanez`s smallest acoustic basses released to date. They`re equipped with parlor-shaped bodies, as well as with 24.96" short scales (almost full 10 inches shorter than the 34" bass standard). While the AVNB1E has an 18-fret fingerboard, AVNB1FE is fretless. Other than that, these two are pretty much one and the same bass. AVNB1FE is available in Brown Violin (w/semi-gloss finish, Cosmo Black hardware, black plastics), just like its fretted companion. Their price tags are the same as well, being set at $500. Core construction features of the fretless four-stringer include a non-cutaway body (mahogany back/sides, solid Sitka spruce top), a mahogany neck, a fretless ovangkol fingerboard, an ovangkol bridge, combined Fishman/Ibanez electronics, and die-cast tuning machines.
